7 behaviors that make it difficult for you to have children
Lifestyle habits are one of the causes that result in infertility. Therefore, for parents who plan to have children, they should start adjusting their behavior to reduce the risk of infertility and reduce the risk that may occur to the child in the future. The behaviors that cause infertility are as follows:
- Eating unhealthy food
Parents who want to have children, if they eat unhealthy food, including the same food repeatedly, it will result in not getting enough nutrients, which may cause the body to not be ready for pregnancy. Therefore, they should choose to eat good, nutritious, varied food, eat vegetables and fruits in the right amount, and reduce sweet foods because sweetness is a factor that causes the quality of eggs to deteriorate.
- Drinking alcohol
Drinking alcohol, beer or other alcoholic beverages can reduce your chances of having children and may increase your risk of infertility. In men, drinking alcohol can also reduce the quality of sperm.
- Smoking
Cigarettes contain toxic substances that are harmful to smokers and those around them. They affect the reproductive system, reducing the quality of eggs and sperm.
- Accumulated stress
In addition to negatively affecting mental health, stress can also cause infertility because the body's hormones may fluctuate, leading to abnormal ovulation or anovulation.
- Being overweight or underweight
Being overweight or underweight makes it difficult to prepare for having a child. There may be a risk of infertility, irregular menstruation, hormonal fluctuations, and chronic anovulation. You can adjust your behavior to control your weight so that it is not too high or too low.
- No exercise
Proper exercise, not too strenuous, not only makes the body strong, but also helps with metabolism, improves blood circulation, stimulates hormones in the body to function normally, and also helps reduce stress well.
- Exposure to too many chemicals or radiation
In cases where parents are in areas with chemicals, such as working in industrial plants or radiation, this can cause reproductive cells to malfunction, resulting in difficulty having children.
Lifestyle behaviors can cause infertility to some extent. Therefore, if parents want to plan for having children, they can start adjusting their behaviors to be appropriate, eating healthy food, exercising, and avoiding alcohol and cigarettes to prepare themselves and reduce the chances of infertility.
