Things you should and shouldn't do During egg stimulation
Mothers who are undergoing the ICSI process or are starting the ICSI process in the first step are stimulating the eggs to make the egg follicles grow. When the eggs grow according to the criteria, the eggs will be collected to fertilize with sperm and develop into embryos. During the egg stimulation period, there are some things you should and should not do as follows:
- Injecting the medicine on time This is a very important practice. You must inject the medicine at the time recommended by the doctor to maintain a constant hormone level.
- During the egg stimulation period, the egg follicles are developing, so you should eat protein-rich foods to help build complete and strong cells.
- Take folic acid and vitamin supplements. During egg stimulation, mothers can take vitamin supplements as usual to help the eggs grow and become strong and healthy.
- Avoid pickled foods, undercooked foods, and spicy foods to prevent diarrhea and food poisoning.
- Eat cooked, clean, easily digested food and eat foods that are beneficial to the body to reduce constipation and flatulence.
- Get enough rest. Because adequate sleep affects the secretion of Growth Hormone, affecting the growth of egg cells.
- Avoid strenuous exercise. Do light exercise or yoga instead, as this can lead to ovarian torsion and severe abdominal pain.
- Avoid sexual intercourse during ovulation stimulation.
- You shouldn't be too stressed because when we are stressed, our body releases the hormone cortisol, which can interfere with the functioning of sex hormones and affect egg growth.
